‘You know, I had dinner with him,’ said Gates. ‘I regret that I did this.’

Gates, who does charity work in the field of health, claimed that these meetings took place after Epstein’s claim that he could support him in this field.

Gates underlined that he interrupted these talks after realizing that what Epstein said did not reflect the truth.

On the show, Gates was also asked what he did when he found out about Epstein’s past. Gates reiterated his regret and stated that there was nothing new to say.

When asked if he learned a lesson from these conversations, Gates said, “Well, he’s dead, so … you know, in general, you always have to be careful.”

“When Gates had to talk about his relationship with Epstein, he squirmed and played with his ring finger,” the New York Post said.

These statements of Gates were also on the agenda on social media. Images of the said television interview went viral by being shared thousands of times on social media.

Famous US billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in New York in July 2019, and it was stated that he was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and human trafficking between 2002 and 2005.

Epstein, who committed suicide in August 2019, was found dead in his cell.
